Why We Donate
Dog toys can be expensive, especially tug toys that stand up to these two. As a dog owner, I know the it's hard to find toys that last. Ren is notorious for being rough with his toys while Ru is considerably gentler. These two enthusiastic tuggers taught me the importance of tailoring the toys to their own individual needs and preferences. Rukia prefers the softer, simply braided tug while Renji's strength almost requires that we use the knotted tug. He likes either one, but the knots last longer by far!
Supporting Shelter Dogs, One Toy At A Time
Having rescue dogs throughout my life has driven my focus to supporting animal rescues. For every tug toy purchased from Ren & Ru's Tug Co., we will donate one to a local 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. It may not seem like much, but to a lonely shelter dog waiting for their forever home, it offers a few moments of playtime and enrichment.

OUR IMPACT
Our goal is to donate 150 tug toys to shelter dogs in 2026.
To kick off our donation mission, Ren & Ru's Tug Co. has donated a total of 60 tug toys to three local Wisconsin shelters.
After we reach 20 tug sales, we will deliver 20 handmade tugs to a local shelter.
